sup, I just bought my s13 about 3 weeks ago. Love it. The only problem is I get only around 260 miles to a full tank and thats highway driving only. The car does have a check engine light on. Had it diagnosed and it is a bad egr valve solenoid. Well im getting the solenoid valve replaced tomorrow. Could this valve cause poor gas milage. Car is bone stock, runs great through. I hope the valve does fix the gas milage problem. Also have an idle issue, the service writer said the valve should fix the idle problem also so im crossing my fingers.
*UPDATE*
well the nissan dealer finally got my egr solenoid valve in. I had it installed and man what a fuccen difference. Check engine lights out, car idles like a champ. It use to idle at 1100 rpm and bounce between that and 900 rpm. At idle it felt like the car was rocking back and fourth. Like if your car would to break down on the freeway and cars were flying by you. Well now it idles steady at 850rpm. ( is that normal, my honda's use to idle at 950) Seems a little low. I cant tell you if the gas milage improved though cuz I havnt drove a full tank yet since, but i will update ya on that. :rawk:

did you check the MAF, o2 sensor, sparkplugs, fuel filter? and see if there's any exhaust leaks or whatnot.
dunno

Yep, EGR can cause bad mileage. If you just bought it, replace everything dutchmalmiss mentioned: MAFS, oxygen sensor, plugs, fuel filter.

i usually hit around 300 with a decent bit left in the gas tank. wonder how you guys drive though... :p
i get around 24-25 miles per gallon, 300 per tank, 90% freeway driving. i also have the egr light on tho.

yeah, gotta love how my sr with mods makes better gas mileage than my stock ka. i get about 650 km for every tank, which is a little more than 400 miles. can't get mad at dat!

Last time I made the trip from LA to SF, I made it on one tank, with the gas light turning on JUST as I parked.
380-400 miles?
I dunno....straight freeway though.
Made it in 5 hours.

Of course you're going to get better gas milage on the freeway. I'm sure most of these guys are talking about highway/city driving.

the injectors could be dirty! try running some injector cleaner when you fill your tank up with gas

Damn.. since I'm close to empty.. I'm not even at 200 miles yet.. I probably get 210..220 miles to the tank.. But I think my alignment may have to do something with it.. Since I'm running quite a bit of toe and camber. :hammer:

barely have money to fill up the tank... The thing is that my No.4 injector is out of order...
Driving with 3 injectors firing properply from St. Louis to Bloomington, IN = 300 miles a tank (when I first picked up the car and did some quick tune up), not too bad... Though the worn out subframe bushing really scared me every time going over the bump on the highway
Gas price is riduculous these days...

LMAO....I have leaky injectors every other week so i couldnt tell you what my gas milage was other than its shitty, i sponge about a teaspoon of gas off the intake manifold everytime i get ready to crank it....Nissan injector Orings suck ass....=( Aftermarket dont seem to fit, and if they do they leak as well.....I tried a few different ones nothing helps...Guess i need a new intake manifold.....??????
I would say i get around 200 Miles to a tank though...Give or take depending on my mood and how i feel like driving...
170k..original injectors. no leaks
360+ Miles a tank 25mpg-ish STock 95 KA

I've been getting around 300-310 after replacing my bad O2 sensor. I was getting around 30 miles less to the tank or so.

I just got my bone stock 1990 240 and when I got it it smelt like has in the cabin of the car so before I replaced anything I ran a cheap bottle of fuel injector cleaner through the full gas tank and the smell went away. I also replaced the fuel filter. Before that I was getting around 315 miles to the tank. Right now on a full tank im getting around 340-350 :coold: and thats 50% city and 50% highway! It cost me $28 to fill up last time! :bash:
