ok so on my last full tank of gas i got 200 miles... wot on the freeway makes a 10 foot trail of smoke out of my exhaust that is greyish...and everynow and then i get this wierd smell in the cabin of my car. i checked my coolant reservoir no oil as of yet, and i checked the outside of my headgasket and i don't see anything coming out. im assuming it's a piston ring. if you can help me to further diagnose this that would be awsome.
thanks

Sounds like it's dumping too much fuel at WOT. Why would you suspect a ring? They VERY RARELY go bad on the KA...broken ring lands are not uncommon under boost, or nitrous...but the rings are stout.
Anyway, steps to correct the problem:
1) Tuneup?
2) Check TPS and/or MAF function.
3) Change O2 sensor
4) Check resistance value of coolant temp sensor.
Assuming the engine isn't "broken"...your answer lies within those 4 steps.

:smash: thanks alot ill look into that. haha i don't really know why i though piston ring, probabily because when i first had the problem while i was driving i though headgasket, then after not being able to find evidence of anything leaking out of my head, i just jumped to piston ring, eventhough there is no evidence, that i have seen, of oil in the coolant or overheating. also he engine has 130k so i though that that might be it. what sucks also is that the smoke doesn't happen consistantly, it's only happened 3 times. thanks for the leads though!!
are there any other factors that i should look at?

Stick or Auto??
If it's stick then check the rubber shifter boot gasket. It could have a tear in it allowing whatever engine smells to permeate into the cabin.
