go to auto parts store
get engine degreaser
go to spray-yourself carwash
open hood
spray the dirty parts with degreaser
powerwash degreaser off
close hood
go home
now wasnt that easy?

Yes...MAF plug, TPS plug.
Keep the water off the electrical stuff as much as possible, that will eliminate any chance of issues.

make sure you clean that little round cylinder with the 5 wires comin out of it REALLY good with high pressure. you want to wash all the dirt off it it.
make sure you do it while the car is off.
have fun.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HOLY SHIT SO FUNNY.
seriously though, I havent been here that long, and i've even seen this question posted a lot.
I used trashbags and tape around everything that could get me into trouble, then degreased and sprayed the hell out of it. works fine.

Take the ground wire off the battery. Wait for the engine to dry before starting. push it out of the bay if people are waiting. Detailers killed my MAP this way.

Steaming it would be WAY better and you can rent them for cheap.. If you went through "the book" pressure washing is a no no.

be sure to open the ignition cap. wet rotor figurously. start engine to dry. works like a charm.
but really, brake cleaner is a good and safe thing to use.
