technically it is the code for the japanese 180sx (w/sr)
Many people use it to designate the Fastback 240

Yeah the fastbacks with the CA18DET are RS-13's and the ones with the SR20DE or DET are RPS13

and the ones with single cam KA are RHLS13 and with DOHC they are RMS13

Anybody know exactly what the designations stand for? I know what they are, but not how they are derived?
such as KA24DE KA-engine series 24=displacement D=dohc E=EFI

R is the designation for the fastback body style and P denotes the sr20 engine.

Also, why are there s13's build between 93-96 with the s13 blacktop engine?? Nissan was making both s13 and s14 at the same time? weird.. maybe cuz s13's are better and the demand were high.. lol..
