We lined up from a 40 roll, he took the jump, but I was on his bumper the whole time, he didnt even pull a full car on me. He just got tuned a few days before last night, and dynoed 470 with a slipping clutch. With a better clutch, he is going to be over 500 easy. We raced with pump gas, and with that, we should both be around 370rwhp. I have a streetport, 62-1 turbo, E6K, and my car is fully gutted, removed all sound deadning, and anything that does not need to be there (AC, carpet, everything).
we shut down around 130, we would have gone faster, but there was traffic. After that race, we turned around on the highway, and were about to run again, but we got stallowned by a cop following us. we didnt race because we saw him earlier, we would have raced to about 150-160, and I think he would have pulled me harder the faster we would have gone. The video is kind of deceptive, but my front bumper was right on his back bumper the whole time. My friend has footage from behind the cars also, we are going to try to get those uploaded by tonight. The second video that i am going to get hosted was filmed from inside my friends 10 second bmw m roadster with full interior and stereo, but like i said, im going to try to get that video soon

whats the gauge for on the a-pillar? (240sx) all it does is bounce up and down!

the red hood and front lip looked alot better imo, but it still looks nice, and it seems like it's very fast

I'm pretty sure you're joking, but if you're not it's boost press.

Hell, my FC has a slipping clutch, I change gears at 4500rpms, some times 5000. Sadly enough, and most or all people will hate it...but it's an automatic. It's my cruising car...and that's it. But I gotta fix my tranny so it'll stop slipping and flush out the old fluid, plus the basic tune up. Be happy that you can start your car without pressing down the pedal. Then, once the car starts, it jumps up to 3000 or more rpms depending on how much pressure I put on my pedal. Yet, I love driving my little gas guzzler. I was talking to one of or Donut guys and he told me to throw some Lucas stuff in my tranny...I might give it a shot. As for your slipping tranny, what would you suggest, or what did you do to get rid of it? The guy I talked to earlier in the night, his cousin is a mechanic and he's going to ask him about an estimate on how much it would cost to get my tranny fixed.
The turbo looks rather tempting to do, though. Sadly enough, once again I ride alone in my FC wondering and hoping that one day, I'll make friends with another person with an FC. btw, what kinda hood is that? I'm looking into getting another hood since i have 2 hole and warping spots on it and have a friend who's thinking about adding bondo on it....not what I really want to do.

If it's an auto tranny, look into getting it flushed and see if that helps first.

i was pretty sure that it was a boost gauge but why does it bounce up and down? it doesnt drop when he shifts. all i know is if i were to put my car in his place, my gauge would be reading full boost then when i shift it would drop to vacuum for a split sec.

yeah, its the GReddy AF gauge, its not a cheap autometer narrowband ;)

oh ok, thought the only wideband was made by aem but i guess my knowledge for wideband a/f gauges is alittle out dated. lol

your ic piping is really peculiar, any special reason why you did it like that?

yeah, im pimpin the non turbo aluminum hood
the IC piping is really unique, and there is a story to it, now i get to :blah: for a while. I had my FMIC, BOV, turbo timer, and some other stuff stolen out of my engine bay, and new I had to do something different. I picked up the spearco core cheap, but i always hated the way the ic piping is on the hks kit. I had him take the hks throttlebody elbow, and reweld it for a more free-flowing setup. The way it was before, it made like 3 90 degree turns :ghey: , so I had a friend who works at Boost Logic/Performance Motorsports custom make me all new aluminum piping to let the air flow as straight as possible, which meant the ac had to go. In doing this, he mounted the ic right infront of the radiator, he made all custom brackets, so that you can not see the IC from the front of the car. I did this to make my car a quasi-sleeper, and after having it stolen, i didnt want the attention. All I know was that my car dynoed 368 prior to this, and it pulls MUCH MUCH harder now that the piping is different (I also got a new BB 62-1 turbo, bigger air filter, koyo radiator, hks bov at this time).
**Cliff's Notes- It flows more freely, and I don't know how to use proper capitalization due to lazyness.

True, but the nissan has much more money in to it than I do, and is actually tuned, unlike me.
In all honesty, the main reason I was able to keep up was because of the weight reduction. All that time chipping away at sound deadning payed off......kind of :goyou: .

Hey this is way cool that there are RX7 people on this Nissan forum. :) I have a project FD and love s14s so I'm on here as well. I wonder how many more RX7 owners are on this board. Sorry to hijack the thread:) Sweet FC by the way. Whats the story behind you getting pulled over?

Yea it wasent a bad find, nice car, needs some work, got in an accident and the cheapo before the owner I bought it from must have found a S4 in the junk yard and took the taillights and the FB, so its a S5 with s4 front bumper and Tails, which are the 2 things that make the S5 look so tight.
