How long does break in of a new clutch last? What exactly do I do differently during the break in period?
Thanks,
Jeff

I just recently had my clutch replaced, too, and was told the break-in period is 500 miles of mostly in-town driving.  Things not to do--slipping the clutch, double-clutching, speed-shifting, driving the car hard.  Just drive your car gently and you should be just fine.

What exactly is slipping the clutch?

When the clutch is against the flywheel but not firmly pressed against it and the flywheel is spinning faster than the clutch.
I think.

OK, so basically, let the clutch out faster?
