yeah so my brother just bought a S2000, and my family/friends wont stop ragging me bout how POS my car is compared to his. wifey is pissed at me cuz i spent all my money on a s15 diff instead of buying A/C or Paint>< when will it end!!!!???? dont they realize i love my POS car, and primer will be the hawt new color come next season. stock rims are coming back in force baby!!!

Your S13 is going to have to be a helluva thing to outdo an S2000 on a track. I mean, if he had bought some wussbag car that's one thing, but an S2k is a serious, purpose-built ride.

Anyway, in regards to my S14 (which, admittedly, isn't exactly a POS), I once told my gf that I'd never sell it, and she said "good, I hope you don't". I think she still misses the shiny new '04 WRX, but she's got her RSX, so she doesn't really care what I drive.

Have you shown your wife WHY you bought the S15 diff and all the other stuff? i.e. have you taken her drifting, or to the track, or to an autocross? If she's never done any sort of motorsport, she's never going to understand why you find it interesting. If she still thinks it's dumb after having ridden shotgun for a fast time attack, she's hopeless, divorce her.

and btw, my s13 outruns brothers ap1 all day and night baby^^. then again hes trying to learn how to properely HandT, and i dont think hes tried trail braking yet. dont get me wrong though ap1 is fast, just not as fast as ppl think. its a great all around car, i like it, but still, i think the main factor being that ill get a tad bit more to the edge compared to my brother and his precious ap1.

road track= 80% driver 20% everything else or at least imho

ive driven his ap1 hard enough to kind of feel its upsides/downsides, its not that fast, it weighs more than a s13 but has same power as a decently tuned sr20. turning is alright in the ap1, but its mostly responsiveness and quick turn in thats impressive. oh and high speed stuff it turns alot better than my car... but low speed stuff... its not that much better than a well balanced s13. at least thats what i feel from first hand experience...

when the ap1 first came out in japan, the public was pissed that the accord 4cyl R model(think i was watching the R) could out run it in the cone style scca tracks. dont get me wrong, great car and all but i digress, 80% driver, the more technical the course the more it is driver...

well back to the subject, thats the point, i spent the mney on the coilovers that coulda bought me 3-4earl schieb ghetto paint. i passed up buying the ppg to shoot myself so i could put injectors that werent at 99% drive when i hit boost. i just bought a diff when i promised my dad that id scrounge up some cash to pay for the cheap ass paint from maaco..etc...etc... hahaha.... o wells, as for all the ppl who want me to tell them to stfu, i cant tell my Pa that cuz i love him too much, and hed prolly still find a way to kick my ass.
so i guess like most of ya say, ill keep my chin up and love it like i love my dog with titanium pins in his leg, wait titanium is cool!!! so my dog is cool after all, muahahahha

if you dont have money for a paint yet, just rattle can it. not primer but bumper paint. my s14 was crap and i sprayed it with duplicolor bumper paint. only took about 6 days for the whole car (sanding, bondo, primer, wetsand, paint) actually it took a month, but 6 days of actual production (what can i say, im lazy). but if your interested, i can send/post you pics...
