hey i juss wanted to know if anyone could recommend an alignment shop in the LA area. i check out autobacs but there too far, i wated 4 hours for my appointment today nd then they tell me my cars too low to align come back with a removed bumper. but yeh it took me 3 hours today to get back home cuz of traffic. 70 miles is kinda far. so does anyone know any good places i could go for custom alignment, hopefully in a 818 area.

thanks

Call West End Alignment in Gardena. Call directory info for the no. Ask for Darren and tell him Norm with the green s14 sent you.

Look in the phone book for a tire store.
Up here in San Francisco I went to Firestone and they had a machine.

Call around.

Any local big tire shop is going to do alignment, computerized alignment most likely. I actually prefer the old school manual way. If you want manual, there's a couple of good shop around my area but they are not cheap.

FYI Darren at West End does almost all the race clubs here in so cal. When he aligns your car he'll ask you if you would like to sit in the car while he aligns it to take in normal weight distribution of your car while you drive. He also does full corner balancing for full on track cars. After I got my car aligned there my car handled MUCH better. It felt really planted and controllable. He can do a daily driver setup, aggressive street driving setup (grip for canyon runs) or a full on autocross or drift setup. In any case after going to West End I won't go anywhere else.
