After hearing from Enthalpy that there would be an 18 week wait for harness adapters for the s14 KA-T ecu's, I decided to put a hold on my turbo upgrade. I'm trying to recoup money spend for parts I've already purchased, and this turbo is part of that. The turbo is brand new, still in the box (unopened at this point), and a great deal for anyone looking for an upgrade for their SR setup.
Specs of turbo:
-Garrett GT2871R Turbo (Ball Bearing)
-.64 A/R turbine housing
-Flow capacity of about 400 HP
-Internal Wastegate included
-T25 style turbine inlet flange
If anyone is interested, I'm looking for around $1000 plus shipping, which is about a 200 dollar savings from anywhere I've seen. You can PM me or email me at
[email protected]
I will have pics of the turbo as well as side by side shots of the gt2871r next to a t25 this weekend.
*edit* pics can be seen here http://community.webshots.com/album/298930672xvgTBs
Thanks,
Bill

sounds like it is, might need some different lines though. T25 turbine inlet flange means it bolts up to the stock manifold.
I might be interested in the turbo also, gotta collect some funds.

It will bolt on directly to the SR. However, I believe you will need new lines, the Taka Motorsports kit will do the trick. I'll get some pics up here when the turbo gets here saturday, figures I hear about the 18 week wait on the ecu after the turbo already ships!

It is a direct bolton, no lines required. Would not be a bad idea to get the lines for the restrictor.

Well now that I'm not selling it, I can let you all know where I got it from. I ordered it from The Speed Factor, which is now a sponsor of Zilvia, so I guess if someone portrays this as advertisement it's legit. I do not work for them, but I know all the guys that own it, and they are really cool guys.
Anyway, their website is http://www.thespeedfactor.com and you can get the turbo for $975 plus shipping. I had to pay tax since I'm in Virginia (Virginia Tech), so that's why I was looking for 1000, to recover some of that cost. Anyway, just wanted to let all of you that were interested know that you can get this for about the same price I was trying to sell it for.
You may be wondering how they sell it for so much cheaper than the other places. I've been told that's because they have a better discount (at their cost) for Garrett than the other places do.
I'm pretty sure they don't have an online "store" to directly order from their website, but you can either email or call them and they'll gladly take your order.

so is this thing a real garret, im always suspicious when I see really cheap turbos, i mean thats very uncommon to find a place that sells for a lot less than competitors, are they really 100 percent new or rebuilt, what are your impressions
anyway thanks, I think ill order this, much appreciations,

where, btw nice deal you got on that car sepulchral, umm actually I did some research, i guess precision turbos, which is what this is, uses garrett internals and precision makes the outer parts or something, but from what some people say, it is still a nice turbo, then again yours has a garrett housing so im baffled,
nm just called, they said that this particular one, is infact full garret, just happened that they put it in with the precision ones, hellofa deal and id love to see this other one, sounds too good,

our turbos are by no means "cheap turbos" we buy very large quantities from Precision and other Garrett suppliers and because of that we can offer competitive prices. Anyway if anyone has a question about them or anything please feel free to ask.
Thanks for the space and happy boosting.
