Hmm, upon swaping auto to manual on a 89 car w/cruise control, and using a Non Cruise control Ka harness, now, when stepping on brake pedal, the cruise control lamp illuminates and the left brake light will not turn on to brake. This is a common problem i have seen in the coupe, driverside brake light? Anybody have a fix for this one before i put together a relay jump kit for passanger side light to driverside?
Thanks a bunch

It's funny because every where I go, coupes never seem to have properly working driverside brake lights. I know mine doesn't work right but I'm just too lazy to check if it's just a bulb.

Take the inner housing of the brake light out (inside the trunk, the white plastic thing that holds all the bulbs). next to each bulb is a screw with a black wire running to it. Tighten all those screws. They are the grounding points for the whole thing, and they tend to loosen from vibration over time. When I got my coupe I had this problem and tightening the screws cured it.
Of course, if the bulbs are bad that's another issue :D
Hope that helps.

well,
I checked the bulbs already, what Im saying is that when i press the brake pedal down the CRUISE light on dash, comes on, it used to stick on until i unplugged the cruise control unit. This would typically also cause the running lights mode in the tailights to stick on until i hit the cruise off button.
Sorry this is just tripping me up./
Thanks
John
