I've seen a purple one going around, i think it was Defiant or Demented dunno...
really curious. Looking forward for my S14.5 conversion also.

By the way, s15 is supposedly sitting in milpitas somewhere, i saw the post for the for sale area on craigslist. I think he's selling it for 27,000? 6spd, spec-r, 60k on the motor, all stock. Body and interior looks clean. Had cali plates.

Car does not comply with DOT or EPA and if you try to hide it behind kit car they will stomp you for it.

I think since its all stock they have no real way of pulling your ass over especially if it has a plate and tags. Skylines roam the bay. RHD with cali plates and tags. They dont get pulled over. all it takes is for one cop to know that S15 is totally illegal here. a skyline COULD have been legalized through motorex so he should give them the benefit of the doubt if they're not doing anything illegal. stockish-looking S13 and S14 don't give any probable cause either. no way to tell what motor is in there. S15 is automatically illegal just by seeing it, if the cop knows what he's looking at.

I belive theres more than one S15 in the Bay Area at the moment. There is some salvage shop thats selling a white S15 (May have been sold by now though) for around 20K in the San Mateo area. I came really close to trading my Infiniti for it back in the day till I realized it could never be legalized. Sometimes I wish I just went through with it... lol

wassup lloyd my car is ok... jus the timing chain is getting to me... got a cam angle sensor code and a o2 code.. thats about it.. still runs okay ... but shure as hell need to come out or time to do a timing chain... ur motor ahahha the beast....... its getting built... takin my time cause i wanna do it right..just ported and polish the head... saving up for alot of freakin machining... but yeah its a heater...puttin that turbo to use that i was thinkin of selling for the longest but never had the urge to go ahead with it... maybe u and i can do a little sideway motion in suisun citay.... hopefully tho itll be built in time before the summer.... hows that japan man built SR?

there was a thread here on an s15 that got completely legalized (yeah, i was amazed too) but it got locked due to flaming. apparently, the owner paid for all DOT and EPA testing and was driving a cross country trip and he was up in norcal last i heard (about one month ago)
