:wiggle: hello all! here is my question...
I just bought brand new eibach sportline spring for my s13...
its says it lowers f/r for -2.5.
but when I install them... freaking barely lowered my car. Looks like it just got lowered -1.6 f/r...
is this normal? do I have to wait till it settles in? what should I do? should I just call up eibach and say... i want my money back?
Need heLP!!

THANKS! :wiggle: :wiggle: :wiggle:

sportlines dont drop the car very low,at least from my experience....And its gonna settle a little lower, but not really much.I think the drop should be about 2 inches or something like that.

seriously man, you're begging for a pinking with the amount of bumping you're doing, 3 times in 2 hrs? c'mon.

Depending on weather, it'll take at least several days for your suspension to settle... hopefully you're not running them on stock dampers, or there's a decent chance you'll blow your shocks and risk damaging other suspension parts before you even get your springs settled. Bump stops are not enough to protect you from the smallest of potholes if it comes to that.

I had sportlines on my car for about a month or so and they wernt that low. They were on stock shocks and I never really had a problem hitting the bump stops. The spring rates were dissapointing though. ehh I didnt lose anything. Sold them for what I bought them for. BTW Yoshi, I'm jelious of your car, makes me wish I went 13.5 instead of sil80.

Sportlines will give you the lowest drop on a S13. About 2 inches....you can see this on their website and everywhere else. If you want lower, you need coilovers...sorry. Will you interested on selling those Sportlines??? Im looking for a set....

i have no idea how they are on s13's but i had sportlines on my s14 and they were pretty low. had them on tokikos and it was fine. as for your situation, you prolly just needa let the springs settle on your dampers and stuff. wait a little and if the problem is still there take them out and then put it back together. maybe youll get lucky?

dont forget a 14 year old car is not at stock ride height, it's prolly sagging. Also springs take a while to set.

on my .02 note: 2" drop is alot unless u have camber adjustment apart from stock accomodations. rear camber starts getting bad, and in the end when ur rear squats(like during accel) ur camber pans out and wham tires are running on the inside corners>< that pretty downpipe becomes Dshaped on speed bumps, and we wont talk about changes in arm angles and rollcenters><

edit: i speak of the rear mainly because the front normally has enuf camber adjustments for a good amount of drop, whereas our rears on s13's dont have much adjustment.

Definately don't run sportlines on stock shocks tho. Mine are blown. 2 oil puddles just narrower than my tires in my parking spot. haha. They're kinda low I guess. But with stock shocks, it's like a caddy compared to coils.
