I am looking at a 1991 240sx SE with 107,000 miles. It is in excellent condition and has hicas and ABS. Does it have an LSD? About how many miles should I expect to get on it if I turbo it in a few months. I was thinking 7 PSI and leaving the stock internals.      THANKS

HICAS should have LSD.

As far as reliability, it's impossible to guage. You could turbo it, but check compression, check for leaks, make sure the engine is all in all in good condition. You could rebuild it to be certain, but there goes the "stock internals" idea. Another thought, you could turbo it, and if/when it does go out, pick up an s14 KA with lower miles and play with that one. It is pretty much impossible to determine how long an engine will last. Your driving style, how well you maintain the engine, all will come into play.

I know nissans are good cars, I was just wondering on what average engine life is. I was also looking at this car> http://www.autotrader.com/findaca....lt=none (http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=88883648&dealer_id=755387&certified=n&max_price=&start_year=1989&end_year=1996&address=87107&search_type=&make=NISSAN&model=240SX&min_price=&distance=200&advcd_on=n&advanced=n&color=&car_year=1993&ac_afflt=none)

It says it is an SE, but it does not have alloy wheels or a spoiler. Did any SE's come like this?

I'd put my money against that being an SE. iirc, those are the hubcaps that come on the steel wheels. Hard to tell in the pic. It could be the cup shaped alloys from the 89 and 90 models. Also, as far as I know, the SE's all come with that silly spoiler. Might have been removed though, they tend to cause rust problems.

Could be shady, could be the wrong pic, could be slightly changed, or I could be full of shit. You could go check it out yourself <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Also, check the vin, I think it can tell you if it's SE trim or not (mebbe)
