View Full Version : sr leans 2 right and fuel rail hits hood...this normal??

ok, it seems my sr leans to the right, is this normal??? i loosened the motor mounts and hooked my hoist to it to help persuade it to sit flat but no go... any suggestions?? i just put a jgy top feed fuel rail in and it hits the hood....thanks, also it tried to put some spacers on the back of the hood to raise it a little but it still hits.

your SR should sit nearly flat. Mine does, when I had a broke motor mount my SR leand to the left, this cause the rubber intake tubing to be kinked slightly. check your motor mounts to see if one is broken. I had a broken one for 2 yrs. haha

I have nismo motor mounts and it sits SLIGHTLEY to the right, but not enugh to make the fuel rail hit the hood. I have a strut tower bar that clears no problem. wierd.

Stiffer motor mounts may help your situation. My stock sr ones are soft as hell right now.

A properly sitting motor in a 240sx (sr or ka) will always look tilted a little to the right.

yeah i talked to ray @ enjuku and he said the same, i have nismo mounts, the problem is with the top feed rail , i need to shave some of it off...thanks
