I am getting an intermittent misfire on the #2 cylinder on my otherwise stock KA. I've changed out practically everything but nothing seems to make it go away. Things I've changed out
- spark plugs
- spark plug wires
- fuel filter
- distributor cap
- distributor rotor
- ecu
I'm pretty certain the issue is due to lack of spark. I just don't understand why. When it is misfiring at idle, if I remove the #2 spark plug wire and then replug it in, it starts working again. Any help would be appreciated.

this might seem like a dumb sugestion but your issue sounds like a bad conection i would check the wire terminials

Why not start with the coil and go from there. Maybe it is getting a weak spark to #2 cylinder. Coil, distributor cap & rotor, trigger device, ignition control module, wires, spark plug gap..Check all of that to eliminate the ignition system.

Which wire terminals? I've tried two sets of spark plug wires (one of which was brand new NGK) and three sets of different spark plugs. Neither seemed to make a difference.

when this hapened to a friend of mine the plug wire had seperated from the conection to the plug. even when the wire was on the plug there was a break in the circut. if you have tried different wires this is probably not your problem. my next sugestion would be to get a volt meter and trace the system from distrubiter to plug to find where the circut brake is
