I have installed the MR coilovers today. TOOK 5 hours for the first timer ever. good experience tho.

OK. those lower 2 bolts for the front are pain in the A$$. I dont have air tool. that was where i spent most of the hours on.

when I removed both (driver and pass side) old front dampers, why the drive side transverse link(with the hubs and all the components) hung lower than the pass side one? I was not able to lift it up to the point where the the holes meet. so i used a jack to lift the transverse link up. was that ok to do it?

another quesion, I am gonna lower the car 1.75" front and rear. what is the ideal preloading for the springs? this is for the MR coilovers and daily drive weekend drift based on. for s14

thank you. I know I have a lot of questions, please be kind and spread the knowledge.

the sway bar allows nly one of the sides to lift up. I discovered this cuz i was having the same problems as you. AFter trying to install them myself i realized if you get both wheels off the ground then its cake

I dunno, I had the exact same problem w/ both front wheels off the ground. Had to use a jack too to lift the arm up on the dreivers side enough.

Any idea what'd cause that? Is something bad on the suspension?

Well if you hadn't noticed, the coil overs are significantly shorter than the stock shocks. So you would have to lift it up so the knuckle will align with the shock holes.

but what cause one side hung lower than the other?

I think you may have one side adjusted a shorter height than the other? Mine, it seemed like the passenger side hung lower.. but it's on there. So just be happy :)

Nope, I had mine adjusted exactly the same (within a mm or so). Measured em with a caliper.

One arm would freely go up far enough to attach it (passenger side), and the other just didnt want to go up far enough without some prodding.
