I am installing a Battery Kill Switch in my car, because I have trunk mounted my battery for the SR swap. I understand the wiring for this mostly, but one part confuses me. I know we do not have a standard "coil" per se on our cars due to the coil packs and CAS. My question is, on the part that goes to the ignition coil, what wire do I put that to?

Mine is not as simple as battery in battery out, because I got the switch with Alternater and Electronics protection. My other question is, is it legal (track wise) to have in my driver's area, or do i have to mount it right by my battery? It is on a plate on my console where my ashtray used to be. Is this ok for track officials and safety crew, or do I need to wire it right next to he battery, which would cause them to need to get in the drivers area to pop the trunk latch anyway.

run a switch from radio shack, a simple on off switch. Switch is on, the wire is connected, switch two, theres a break in the wire, no conductivity. So... basically find your ignitor chip, wire it to that. Be sure to wire it to a ground so you don't blow your ignitor chip.

i probably should shoot myself in the face. I completely forgot about the ignitor chips role in this. Please flame me and then give me a knife so i can commit ritual suicide! lol

Thanks peeps

so then ignitor chip wire should take place of coil wire in my diagram right?

i knew it didn't have a traditional coil. but then after he mentioned it i remembered it had the ignitor chip that i forgot about... just had a brain fart. woulda thought about the chip if it was in the engine bay, but i got parts laying around while i'm swapping.

Coil packs, are different then what he was refering to. He was refering to an individual coil.

:naughty:

i just needed to know which wire in the harness does a traditional coil wire's job! I know it doesn't have a coil!!!!! I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW that's why I'm asking what wire does the coil wire's job! Not where the hell is the coil.....
