hey, i am noticing some hard core wheel hop when my tires start loosing traction on turns with my s13. i am going to be ordering some spl aluminum subframe bushings in a week or two but am wondering if there is anything else that could cause the wheel hop? i tried searching but couldnt find anything.

It could also be due to blown rear struts. If you push down on the back of the car really hard and release it quickly does it kinda spring around loosely or is it pretty firm in its motion? if it doesn't feel firm and appears to bounce around loosely the struts could be blown. Good luck

it looks like even though my subframe buishings suck, i notices a decent amount of fluid comnig from the sides of my rear struts.

Sub frame bushings baby cakes.

Change out the rear struts after if the prob persist.

this is the only plosible cause.

If you still have the hop switch out the rear struts.

Mine hopped like crazy until I put my coilovers in.

I was lookin at the SPL ones too, for $85 rite? Good buy? I look in the parts review sections but hasnt changed for a long time... u should do a write up!

How do these compare to the Dupri subframe spacers? http://www.zilvia.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=4&sort=7&cat=57&page=1

maybe too much weight? I got really bad wheel hop at the track when i decided to keep my speaker box in the back.. other than that, no wheel hop.

heh, i dont think that it would be that. my vehicle has no back seat, carpet out, most trunk panneling out... i am really thinking that its a mixture of the bushings and struts. neither are in good condition

If you see oil leaking from your struts that means they are blown and dead/dying. The subframe bushings will definitely help as allready stated. In fwd I know stiffer motor mounts help eliminate wheel hop because less weight is transfered back but in rwd I dont see motor mounts doing that precisely. A stiffer Transmission mount might help but I'm just speculating. Shocks/bushings main thing

do you know if there is any sort of mount for the diff? or is that just bolted to the subframe?
