I have tried my friends old logitech driving force steering wheel (not the pro one) and it feels really good, and i love it.

Now here is the question, for people who owns the logitech driving froce "PRO", does it actually uses all 900 degree on gt4? like for every corner do you need to make 2-3 full turns in order to get the car through the coner? or is it just like the old one which only uses like 300 degree, a little of half a turn on the steering wheel = max turning radius to get the car through the corner?

sorry if it was a confusing question. :bash: thx for all the help :hsdance:

No, the steering wheel almost acts like a 600 degree IF you drive correctly. You should never ever have to turn it full lock 900 degrees, if you do, you're understeering or oversteering. Turning into turns is very natural, maybe slightly less turning work than a stock 240.

It may be totally different for drift, but I highly doubt that too. Extreme turns like that will only result in spinning out.

seems like maybe i should just get the old driving force steering wheel for cheap on ebay and not spent 100ish on the new one. :wtc:

It is HARD to turn the wheel. You can't really "toss" the steering wheel around to drift and the steering won't correct itself as fast as real life drifting. You have to actually steer it and it is really hard to go full counterlock.

Some turns you do have to turn the steering wheel a LOT.. like some really really tight 20mph hairpins.

The feel of the turn in is much more realistic than the old steering wheels because it is quite a bit more granular like a real car would be.

The DFP is worth every penny. It might not be best for drift, but you don't spend most of the time drifting in GT4 anyway. Don't be a cheap ass and go get the DFP, it ws made for GT4. Trust me you won't regret it.

i'm not trying to use it to drift, i'm trying to use it for practice on those tracks. I just want to buy the one that is more realistic comparing to real life driving on tracks. :boink:

I <3 mine, but you have to adjust it to suit you best. I use professional steering mode and turned off the crazy drag on the wheel (Hold down Select + R3 + Left Paddle so that the left LED blinks once, not twice). Makes quick steering work and throwing the wheel a little easier (read: beating the crap out of it).
