After just getting my clutch master and slave replaced, my clutch is slipping pretty badly. I got the cylinders replaced on Thursday. By Sunday, I felt slight slippage when starting on a hill. Today, I couldn't leave my development to go back to the mechanic.
The mechanic is very good and says it may be an adjustment but is most likely the clutch. But how does the clutch go from no problems to major slipping in 4 days. Is there a link here?
Anyways, I was quoted at about $600.
$125  OEM clutch kit (what is this, clutch, throwout, pressure plate?)
$50  Flywheel resurfacing
$300 like 4 hours of labor &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
And then fluids, tax and shop supplies.
This sucks. One of those $1000 weeks....
Jeff

yea, that sounds about normal for a clutch job done by mechanics. make sure they change the throw out bearing and pilot bushing as well, esp for that price.

I had qoutes from 2 people. It was $350w/parts, or $350+parts. I did It with my grandpa instead. It was $291 for my Centerforce, and $20 to the flywheel resurfaced, and $26 for a TOB.
