hey, me and some friends are in the process of brewing our own sake that requires this Kome-koji. I've tried researching but i got two different answers. I read that its some type of yeast. Somewhere else i read its a type of rice.
Is anyone here Japanese and knows what it is exactly? Where can we buy this?

Koji, is a type of white mushroom and Kome is obviously rice. I've seen the directions on how to make it before, theres a certain way you prepare the rice and the mix it with the fungi. It looks really dee-lish from reading how to make it. Good luck trying to find Koji though, I would try Asian markets.
