Silk Road. The prices are about the same, but they are inverted monotube.
GP Sports are not inverted (i think...that, or they're not monotube).
Also check to see which has US rebuildability.
oh, and search, mofo! =P

ok..
Since i sell both gp and silkroad.
Let me see if i can put a say down in this..
Ok...
Gp sports Are non inverted
Silkroad Are
GP Sports and Silkroad are both monotube
Silkroad Are 8 way adjustable
GP Sports are 6 way adjustable
Gp sports are Designed by tsuchiya
Silkroad Arent
GP Sports have number markings on the side to help w/ ride height
Silkroad doesnt
Silkroad spring rates are 8/6 where as
GP Sports spring rates are 9/7
Both are not rebuildable in the usa..
So for service they must be sent back to japan to have them rebuilt..
OR YOU CAN GET SOME ZEALS =)

OR YOU CAN GET SOME ZEALS =)
If you do get zeals, just make sure you have your warranty card and the serial numbers are there on the parts. They give you shit about re-building if you don't have those.
My vote goes to Silkroad, I loved my old set, firm ride for street driving.

sorry to threadjack, but all this talk of Rebuilding and shit, how often do these "performance" coilovers need to be rebuilt? I always figured that if you spend 1600 bucks on a set of coilovers, they would last you at least 3-4 years.

coilovers should last 3+ years if you take care of them. Basically wash them every so often and don't drive like an idiot over huge potholes and what not. My HEs have served me well, and I'm going on the end of my third year of owning them.
I would go for the SilkRoads also. Have heard more good things about the SilkRoads than the GP Sports.

Well, zeals you can service w/o warranty card.. and if you buy them from a us distributor then you good to go.
Also.. most coilovers last approx 3 years.. More if conditions are better and less if conditions are worse.
W/ the gp sports. They were recently introduced into the US Market. So because of that there isnt many people who are running w/ them. The silks at this moment are back ordered where as the gp sports coilovers will be making the shore this weekend if not next weekend.
Some people choose gp sports over the silks because it isnt inverted. Sometimes inverted isnt always the best. inverted coilovers use smaller seals due to the space constraint within each coilover. As a byproduct it will not last as long. Remember though. IT not lasting long depends all on driving. Hence why ZEAL produces multiple type of coilovers....

I had the GP's They were stiff as fuck and i loved every minute of them. They really werent that harsh at all, and I liked the fact that they had the graduation marks on the side of the tube so you could height adjust much easier. The only thing I didnt like was the adjustment knob, it felt sloppy.
Best part of the GPs is they held up when I would catch air over jumps. Josh knows, he was there, and was like :eek2:

I've caught air on touge roads in my "played out" "shitty" HEs. Multiple times. They're still good.
