i was wondering if anyone had any tips for cleaning the inside of an intercooler...My turbo went to shit, so i have oil in my piping and would imagine it would have gotten into my intercooler..My guess is just dish soap and warm water?? thanks

I don't think that just soap and water will do the trick. I'd use some kind of a solvent. But be careful it's right kind of stuff, or it will corrode the aluminium.

Use solvents which are a mixture of phosphoric acid and oxalic acid. Alkaline liquids will react with alloy and embrittle it, make it fragile.
That stuff what's intended to be used to wash alloy wheels is fine, although it's propably pretty weak/diluted.
Just make sure the solvent is accid and it should be fine.

You could look into a steam bath, like they use for engines and cylinder heads. Hot water usually isn't corrosive. :D

gasoline or rubbing alchohol is what was used in my DSM days. just put like 2-3 cups in it, cap off the ends somehow (your hands work great) and swoosh it around. then pour it out, repeat until it comes out clear or damn close to it.

I have also had good luck with gasoline...never had any problems with my IC after doing it.
