has anybody used these guys yet? or know somebody who has? I found them on ebay...yea yea, I know...ebay...and they have a "0" on feedback (neutral).
I talked to them on the phone today, they're located in Canada, and the guy I spoke with could hardly speak proper english. They have great prices though, and I'm expecting a rebuilder motor anyways, so I figure why not?
The only thing I'm skeptical about is their ebay feedback.
I really appreciate any help with this in advance :x:
Thanks,
BEN

okay, but I just found that their paypal rating is "102 verified buyers". That makes me feel a little better.

"Cheaper is not always better..."
"If it seems to good to be true, then it probably is..."
"You get what you pay for..."
...
Me...I'm not buying anything of significant value from some eBay company located in ANOTHER COUNTRY!
If you do, and the motor sucks and you get ripped off...DO NOT come back here with your sob story.
You should have known better.
Now, if they're legit and you get a good motor at a decent price...well, congrats.
But I'LL BET you'll regret it.
ALSO: Everyone that has been through a couple SR purchases says to LOOK at the motor IN PERSON before you buy...if not, you're asking for trouble.
Good luck, and consider yourself warned. - Brian

mr. 240sx. yes, it's in montreal. How far away are you from there?
I would be wiling to pay you to go down and do the same kind of tests to my engine too, to make sure they ship me a solid motor.
S13dr1ft....PM sent.

im about 2 hours away.... but i know a great mechanic/drifter that helped me pick out my motor and im sure i could call him and ask him to do that for you cause he works about 20 mins from the place.... cause he buys on average about 2-3 sr20det's a month from that place!! (hes a mechanic and performs swaps for people)so he gets awesome deals. just send me a private message and then well talk into details!

that was the most stupid comment............... :mrmeph:
I'm in Montreal and would not trust ANY local shops..
cheap, but if you can't test the engines on site, you are asking to get fucked..

i got my swap done at CAMO tuning in montreal(lachine) and the mechanic there was a great help (Haig) and have had no problem at all with my motor (sr20det) which was purchased at japonese domestic engines.
Camo is not your common shop.
I trust 2 shops (Camo, Trac Racing), one bodyshop (Automotion), but I don't trust the local importers..

Wow Mr 240, that's some paint job! Maybe I should bring my car to Canada and have Canadian-French artists work on it!
