while my 240 is laid up getting it's facelift, I'm driving my 1973 Pontiac Ventura Sprint Custom (pix here: http://www.mentalorigami.com/car )

The starter is going out on me and I have no idea where to look... silly I know, but I can't get real far under the car, as all but 2 of my jackstands are under my 240. I have the new starter and some friends coming to help me out, shouldn't be tough, but I still need to know where the starter is to change it out.

Anyone who could help me out, I'd really appreciate it!

Cliff Notes:
Where is the starter on a 1973 Pontiac Ventura Sprint Custom with the 350 V8 and AT?

Follow the positive battery cable, at the end of it will be a starter...

on the transmission bellhousing, just like a 240.

Lol.... Don't forget to go to your local hardware store and ask them for a muscle car toolkit. After working on a high-tech piece of machinery like a 240SX, you may as well just throw all your tools and everything you've learned out the window.

I believe, could be wrong, its on the passenger side at the rear of the engine block...connecting to the tranny bellhousing(obviously). But I'm pretty sure its on the passenger side...

while your at it , i know that 73 domestic is pretty old you also might want to change the muffler bearings to prevent any funny noises :wackit:
