Seats or rims? Need your opinion please.

Hello everyone,
I am in a personal debate and would like people's opinions. I have an s14 and am in the air about one of the following two:

(2) URAS 17x9 +15 rims ($500) or
(1) R33 skyline seat ($450) (modified)

Please give me some input as I only have 3 days to decide. I cannot afford both at the moment.

Wheels, but that is comming from someone that has a problem collecting used wheels :) I have 4 sets oh well I am saving up for a seat :)

If the seats are GT-R...get those...and sell your existing one and save up for the rims.


Which ever one you know you can get two month from now with that same price...go get it. If its the same case for both....get the seats.

Yes I will be at drift events this year, so you would not consider the r33 a decent drift seat? I would also be drifting with these rims.

I don't consider the GTR seat a good seat for drift. A good seat would be a bucket or a brix, no substitutes.

HAHA, Thanks alot guys. Seats, wheels, seats, wheels, back and forth, back and forth. AAAARGH damn desires. But really, thanks for the input. I will be making my decision within the next 2 days. I also saw the 5zigen for 230 same size and I would be able to get them later without any problems. But with the bucket, it requires sliders and bracket = more money.

+ 1 for rims. Like sideview was saying, you wont always be able to get those wheels. On the other hand, a seat is a seat....you can always get one of those. And for the money you'd be paying for that seat, i'd pass on it anyway.

Uhhh, you clearly don't have a good seat in your car if you are saying that. I have brixes and don't slide anywhere whether it be on the track or a windy road. If I had a bucket, it would hold me in even tighter. And the fact that he never mentioned anything about having a roll cage makes you sound even more retarded.

Thanks for your help everyone. I will be buying neither and saving up for a full set of rims and 2 seats. I do not want to jump the gun just because of lack of time. I would rather do more r & d before layin down 1000-2000 dollars. I will post what I end up getting when I do get it. As for rims, 5zigen came out with the low offset rims which might be an option, but if the URAS become more easily available, those will probably be it. As for seats, bride or recaro reclinables probably. Thanks again everyone. Being older and a little smarter helps. Honestly, your input makes a difference.
