so im gonna boost the crap outta my ka24e and have a few questions. first, has anyone dealt with www.hybridka.com? if you click valvetrain under the ka24e main site it has a solid adjustable lifter conversion. Im going to be running a pretty aggressive custom cam from colt cams soon enough, and for only 250$ with these whats your ideas, opinions, etc on this? think its worth it? any idea what car that came out of or if its modified from something else or what? if i kept the stock hydraulics id have to pay for machine work (whatever 50-100) anyways when i put my cam in. I know that solid lifters are better too... is this something ill be able to bolt in and put in myself or what? anyone else seen anything on this? I googled the shit outta it but came up with nothing. also they have the 280sx turbo fuel pump listed as a good upgrade and I seen nothing on that as well.
last but not least... piston sets for 140$?!?!??! seems fishy to me at that price.
ka24e information can really suck to come up with. please no "get a dohc de, or an sr, rb, jdm tyte b16 yo" responses. Im gonna boost my sohc to ~300whp or so with an aem ems, a t3/t4 46 trim .48 ar ex and .50 compressor, external gate atmost vent, and equal length mani. quick building turbo power for a nice torquey motor and ill be different. my sohc has 140-140-140-137 compression all across and 76k miles. a good cam and valvetrain will help. since hydraulic lifters tend to be heavier and less acurate, do you guys think that going solid will free up atleast some power too?
