I we got some nerds in here who build webs for a livin'.. Who do you guys use to do your webs-hosting? (not free hosting) Anybody have a company they like, and can recommend?
I need a company that will allow terminal access.. and a good bit of space. Speed is important too. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I just found the best webhost i've ever seen... E-Hosting Biz (http://www.ehostingbiz.com) They have basic hosting starting at 5 dollars a month, no ads, ASP/PHP support, MS Access, MySQL, Unlimited ODBC DSN's... ahh, just go check it out, lol. I'm planning on switching to them as soon as I get enough money for the setup fee (the only downside that I've seen) it's only 20 dollars per site though, so it's not a big deal.

What's the difference between " Unlimited Transfer / Hits" and "Unlimited Traffic"? Do you know how many websites they cram on that t3 your offered for $5 a month? I might look into that, since I'm using someone elses and I can't host videos cauz of space/bandwidth issues (i'm not paying a dime, he is so...)
Also it looks like setup is only $10 unless your doing a store.
Edit: misread, oops, that $10 is for something else its a $20 setup fee.

Unlimited traffic is more likely to be hits only. Meaning that if you had zip files up that people were downloading, you could max out your load pretty quickly. This says unlimitad data transfer, so there's no way that they can tell you different.
Btw, that's not a T3, it's a Redundant T3 OC3 connection. If my interpretation is correct, that would mean that they've got enough T3's to handle the bandwith of an OC3, but this way they're redundant to help with that 99.9% uptime guarantee. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

yeah, most hosting companies do that these days. They just get multiple T3's from a couple different vendors, that way if one goes down, your web site is still accessible.
Anybody else out there?

I use Geocities, the free version. But I'm thinking about using my school's server. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>
