So yeah I figured Id start a thread with this cuz u kno all u drifters out there be crashing into shit all the time and well the insurance is hell isnt it?? The last insurance I had was with a company called AIG Insurance. My rate was like 600 up front, then 400 more in 2 months then 600 more in 6 months after the 2nd month. By year it was 1600 or so. My insurance covered pure liability up to $500,000. No comp =\

What kind rates do you guys have?
Any good insurance teenage friendly companies out there?
What company do most 240 owners go too?

Let the thread begin !!

your location made difference on the insurance price too.

male, 23 yr old
Riverside
7 years perfect driving record (tickets was off after traffic school)
3 cars, with 21 century, 6 monthes of coverage
1 premium (00 solara) with $2000 upgrade parts coverage, $800
libility only (90 240sx) $145
libility only (92 civic cx) $175

21st premium would provide you free roadside assistance.

well my monthly payment is $230 for 6 months. The 240 alone woul dbe about $90/month 6 months

I actually have 2 cars, my 240 and my Titan. Titan has full premuim(sp?) and 240 has just liability. I also have my Titan down as being a low mileage car because "I dont drive it that often, weekends only" and my 240 is my daily. That helps to bring the cost of the Titan down alot

btw all the price i mentioned is for 6 monthes....so 240sx i basically just pay $22 per month, which i was listed it as weekend driver. solara is about $140 per month with premium and civic is about $25 per monthes as weekend driver too. they included UM (uninsure motorist) insurance.

Wow, I feel sorry for yall.

If at all possible keep your car on your parents insurance with you as the driver. This should keep it down some. Even if they don't pay it, pay them for it, should be a lot of money saved.

For reference I have Nationwide and have no complaints about them. I pay a lot less than yall even with 2 cars, full coverage, and renter's insurance. Hope you find something good.

I'm paying about 3500 a year. Full everything except collision. (That includes maximum liability, theft/damage, etc) Clean record, 18, male. And the insurance co. doesn't know about any of my mods, either.

We're with 21st, but I've gotten other quotes, it's just as bad. I'm the same zip/area code as Hollywood, so mega theft, and we pay crap rated because of that.

Yeah, but I'm paying like half yalls price for the year and have a '02 on there and the renters insurance. I didn't think it would be that big of a difference. I'm a little older as well though too.

thats very good advise, i'm a nationwide agent and that what i recommend to poeple. Also multipolicy dicounts help also, such as a tenant policy a.k.a renters insurance. even if you still live with your parents you can still get this poilicy and its a cheap way to get the multipolicy discount. Also ask about getting discounts for being a member of certain organizations. One of the main ones with Nationwide is Farm Bureau. Also if your still in school good student discounts help a ton. you have to have a b average though.

19 I think I am over paying my insurrance. I have no ticket or accidents. It's like 800 for every 6 month just for liability from ALL States and it's attached to my parents insurrance too. But then it's ALL STATES... expensive insurrance. I think I should get that good student discount, I have never gotten below 3.0

you're a nerd, hahaha. just call your insurance company because they usually lower their rates if you get good grades. i just sent them my transcript and they gave me a discount.
