ok guys i need some help on rim fitments. I have a s13 w/ 20mm wide fenders in front and stock rear and on tein flexs. i need to know if 17x7.5 +22 and 17x8.5 +22 Gram Light 57s would be a good size for my car. would they sit flush?

Yes thet will be.
22 offset is the max you can go for stock fenders

dood your post count is very low to be offering such advice like wheel fitment. with a 20mm over fender. those wheels will sit so damn sunken its not even funny. Sil eighteeh do some searching on here to get an idea of flushness and around what offset will work with that 20mm overfender you have. On a side note: 17x9 +15 fits upfront with a 20mm fender IIRC but flushness is the key. coilover clearance you can have with a +35offset. just get everything in a lower offset.

offsets confuse me, i thought i finally understood offset and then next thing i knew, i was all confused again! :bash:

agreed, that size will be battleship sunk. also....sideviewcivic...17x9+15 will fit on stock fenders, you dont need a 20mm. just roll them and run a 215/40.
as to the poster... if you like the 57s you should get the 17x9.5's. you could probably get away with 17x9.5 +12 on stock fenders with a stretched tire....so the 20mm over fenders should be ok (20mm is like adding an additional 3/4 inch.to the fender).
as for coilover clearance i dont think youd have any problems. but do some more research.
