Hey guys... okay since it was the first time installing a headgasket, I am kinda worried about this issue. I installed a new Greddy 1.2mm HG and I cleaned the mating block and head with a putty knife to get some of the old stock head gasket off. But me being a newb, I didn't sand the block and make sure 100% of the old stuff got off. I did try to make sure the mating surfaces are pretty smooth, but no sanding.... :duh:

Should I be worried?

Also I didn't know about the 2 90 degree torques after the 44NM torquing and some oil leaked through the cracks. Very very minimal, just beads, no drip though. I since then retorqued them doing the full factory torqueing procedure.

The question is should I be worried about that little bead of oil even after I detorqued and retorqued it to the correct factory specs? :-/

I wouldn't worry about the fact that you leaked oil because of incorrectly torqueing it down, I'd be more concerned with the fact that you didn't scrape all the gasket material off. If I were you, I would change the oil out right away and check for coolant. I'd also check the coolant for oil. If everything checks out, I'd put new oil in, run it for a week and check everything one more time for peace of mind. If you find that you got stuff mixing, pull the head and do it right.
