Well I dynoed my car last night. In the SAE mode I got 200.1 [email protected] rpm and 204.45 [email protected] rpm. But in the observed mode I got 269 [email protected] rpm and 275.81 [email protected] rpm. Does this sound right? My mods are an S14 sr20, fmic, downpipe, test pipe, exhaust, and fuel pump on stock boost.

Here is the SAE

unless you have ice packed around your fmic and a perfectly effecient exhaust, the observed numbers sound way too high.

200 sounds about right i guess. maybe a LITTLE low for those mods

Sounds about right, but a 69hp difference seems odd between the two.

Yes, this would make a big difference (the type of dyno)...

The observed (whatever that means) sounds hella too high... The S14 SR has 215hp at the fly, so taking drivetrain loss out and measuring from the wheels, that would be about right, could be a little bit higher though.

but the exhaust modifications and the FMIC should more then compensate for the difference between stock BHP and rwhp at this point...

i mean, on stock dp, 2.5" exhaust, fmic and fuel pump (8 psi though) on a redtop i dynoed 210 hp and 226 tq

he's got a bigger turbo, that vtec mumbo jumbo...he should be doin like 225hp i thnk

What the guy dynoing my car told me is that the observed is what my car was making at the shop right then. And the SAE version takes a preset setting and adjusts my car to that. It took him like three times to explain the SAE verison to me, so I dont totaly understand it, but he said that it is what every body should say they have because it adjusts the weather they same way no matter where you are, so it makes it fair for every body else.

And it was a Dyno mite dyno

sorry if i confused you up top but i dont totally understand it.
