My Milage went in the shitter so, I decided to replace the O2 sensor. I pull out the old one and it's RED

i'd say its more of a peach. you should worry when they start turning lavender.

Stupid flash blew it out. You can see how the Battery is pink not red.

It's from the additives used in the gasoline that you pour in your gas tank. Do you buy your gas from a certain gas station or certain company?? Try using another brand gasoline & see if the red goes away. If it doesn't then call your local Air Quality Resources Board and ask them what additive in gasoline causes the tip of your oxygen sensor to turn red. They should be able to answer this question.

could it be the way the motor is running, or do you think that the gas additives are really responsible?
