I just got my red top, but the alternator is all oily and dirty. Was wondering if it could be swaped out for my 93 KA alternator. Looks like it'll bolt right up and maybe has the same plug, but can it be done? I searched and couldn't find a solid answer.

Possibly. That a clear enough answer?
Drill the mounting points out IIRC, bolts right up.

I'm 99% sure it works fine. The plug will plug right in, and like R240NA said, you have to drill out the threads so the SR bolt will go through it (easier than what it sounds like)
I put my 92 KA alternator in my 98 S14 SR and it worked great although the KA alt is rated at 80amps and S14 SR at 90amps I believe but I've had no problems. I think it has to do with extra fog lights in the Silvia Ks

Close. The auto parts stores list it 'with foglights', but it's only the Zenki model SRs (Qs and Ks) and Zenki US model SE cars. All Kouki models and base Zenkis received the 80amp unit.
