If I want to stretch tires on a set of z32 wheels what size tires would I need? The factory is 225 50 16 so i figured that I could rock 215 55 16 so that they stretch just a bit. help is always appreciated.

Go with 205's

If you want a stretch, go with a 205/50 or 205/55. Another good tire to go with is the 215/50 dunlop direzza. It's slightly stretched but will give you more grip than a 205.

i heard that some people actually try to fit as much tire on rims as possible. its prolly only a legend though.

going down by 10mm isnt going to give a worthwhile stretch. The whole coolness of stretching is to have a wide rims anyways, so all you'll be doing is running a smaller tire with NO benefit. Just stick with 225's for now.

You mean besides the cool JDM look? ;)
Less sheering lateral sidewall flex is at the top of my list.
