Gentlemen,

I was hoping you could help me out with a feeler?!

I am thinking of selling my 1997 240SX, and was looking towards all of your vast knowledge to see what I could get for it...here are the specifics:

1997 240SX, 2.4L KA24DE N/A
62,543 miles!!!! (yes, original!)
automatic transmission
new brembo rear rotors, with axxis metal master pads
pioneer head unit with 2 amps and 1 10" sub enclosure in trunk

EVERYTHING ELSE IS STOCK!!!
THIS WOULD BE THE PERFIECT PROJECT CAR!!! IT HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED!

Body is mint, as well as interior...aside from normal Nissan loose fittings!!

Tires brand new!!

Let me know what you think...I was hoping to pull around $9,000!

Post your opinions, or if you have an offer, email or PM. [email protected]
Will send pics if requested.

Kinda high for being an auto. I picked up my 97 w/ 70k from a one owner for $6k in great condition. I then added staggered FN's,springs and struts, and 300zx brakes and offered it on here for $8k with no takers. Could easily get $9k with a stick. The high retail is only $8.5k

the auto tranny will lower the value alot. but if the car is in perfect cond. with that low mileage i think you can get around $7,000 for it.

i think auto trannys should raise the value. that way you know it wasnt ran through...

5 speed conversions are so easy, why are people so scared to buy automatics.

Its not bieng scared to buy auto, its that most people on this forum want 5 speed, and if its auto you have to spend more money to convert it.

Put it on and in www.autotrader.com / and the magazine. You will get more offers and u will sell it faster. You will probably get what u want for the car. Most people on here are low ballers. Were if u advertise it in the autotrader you will get new heads that don’t know shit about the market and are more likely to pay u what u want for it.

I had my car listed on here FA and a few other forums for over a month dead 95 tranny for 3k obo. All I got were some low ballin ass niggas that try and tell me what the market is. I put it in the autotrader and had 4 visits and a vast of emails. I sold the car for 200 bux over the asking price in 6 days! :rawk:

first one has to ask 4 lug or 5 lug. That will determine if $9k is even in the ball park.

The car is non-abs with 5 lug.

The car is now in the Chicago area edition of Auto Trader Magazine, and will be online tomorrow! Have already had a couple of calls...looks like $8000 is a good number so far! New replacement brembo rotors and axxis pads with car, new belts, hoses and fuel pump...just didn't have time to install! New eibach pro-kit...not installed...still in box! All this to the next proud owner!

I think it's a good price. With all that new parts you can just sell it for a few more hundred bringing the total lower even more. 5speed conversion? send that to the store and it costs like 400-500 to do a 5 speed.

You can always do it yourself. Pretty easy if you ask me. Yes i know it looks very hard when reading it online. But once you do it, its nothing. :whip:

I second the Autotrader idea.....it's definitely the way to go, it's always the first place I look when I'm buying a car too.
