here's the scoop. i've put maybe 500 miles on the car since i've had it (bout 8 months i guess) and 400 of that was the trip home from SA. its been sitting around getting worked on and crap for all this time. well, since its going to actually have insurance and plates and inspection stickers soon i decided to change the oil cause even after just sitting around i figured it was time to give her new blood.

this is what i found:

the date is 2/21/05, people! like a year and a half with the same fuggin oil in it? yikes.

anyhow at about midnight last night johny5 told me about this cool dampner mod so i decided to go for that. my car is now minus one:

and the fluid i bled out was ALSO black BUT the clutch pedal is fuggin mean now. could be due to the new fluid but the clutch dampner couldn't have helped the situation.

Is that the one that was by the tranny? Cause it looks different than the one I pulled out.

of all the things you've been doing to your car, and changing the oil was not priority?

You'd figure that when you get a new "used" car you would first do the basics... such as "change the engine oil?"

don't want to even know about the tranny and rear end if the previous owners were too lazy to change the motor oil.

it wasn't a priority since it wasn't being driven.
