View Full Version : What do you use for a Shift Knob?

I've been wondering for a while what everyone uses for a shift knob, it's kinda a dumb question but worth asking. I use a Maxima shift knob, it looks good with the interior and even though it's light it feels easier to shift for me than the heavy stock knob. Dunno why.

Nismo GT I got for free :D Thanks PunkGenius!
Its kinda small though.

I have the greddy counterweight on my stock shifter and it made shifting much simpler than no knob :p
However, I felt a leather knob and I think those feel better. By better, they don't condensate against your hands or get terribly hot in the summer. It may just be me though. Still, I went almost 6 months without a shift knob, so anything feels good to me at this point.

dildo knobs are nice and good to shift...only thing i would like would be to be heavier cuz w/ the b&m shit rattles like a mofo...other than that its awesome OH and it looks more "matte" finish when you first get it but after a while it becomes shinier/polished black looking from the oils on our hands :D

I have a "standard" style aftermarket knob that I customized, with a roughly 3/8 inch pushbutton switch on top for nitrous, and a little tiny 1/8 inch pushbutton where your middle finger sits for line lock, I hold mine like a joystick btw. I'll take some pics in the next week or so of it.
i'm gonna say +1 for the...

i had the carbonfiber nismo one for a while but it's just stupid light for my B&M...i wish i had a C's shifter but this is what i got...after about 1 year of use the B&M is "broken in" to where i like it
