It's a personal taste thing. That design is so...meh...so plain. It's generic. It's on rally cars, I see it on at least 3-4 cars (one STi, one RX-7...i think a coupla bimmers) every day. Sure, the sizes are awesome, sure, they're bank, sure they're probably awesomely strong and light (right?)...

I just don't like the way they look.

Like my friend ddball...he refuses to look at any car without meshies- he hates spokes. Me? I like spokes, not a fan of the meshies.

Me too, but a Renntech Sl600 is actually faster and cheaper than an SL65, produces similar amount of power too.

given that an SL 55 is close to 150 and a 65 is a touch over 200 (the one i looked at was 225 IIRC) the price doesn't mean much when you are in that range
