how much gain can be had from just and extension? i heard more noise out of the exhaust will be heard with one, is this true? are these just as likely to crack as the entire tubular mani?

is this good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=7955586328&rd=1
this piece will get hotter than the rest of your exhuast because of its proximity to the turbo but in most cases it is not the heat that is cracking the manifolds it is the improperly supported wieght of the turbo and immediate exhaust pipes combined with the engine movement.
this piece will not crack unless you do something serisouly wrong.
buy it...
SSAC wont get back to me after about 7 e-mails i sent about some of their gear.
does anyone have a phone number for them?

hey bing do u know if this piece will make the car significantly louder? will i get any gains from this?
i dont know dude,
i have one, not that exact one, but i had it put in with my engine so i cant compare it to anything for gains and noise.
just get it.

I'm not sure about power gains, but pieces like this assist in quicker turbine spooling, as well as generally more freely flowing exhaust gasses. I'd guess the engine bay exhaust sound will be louder (as that tends to happen with tubular manifolds, and it makes sense, seeing as how the walls of the outlet (and that of tubular manifolds) are much thinner than the stock iron. As far as overall exhaust note loudness? Dunno. I suppose it's possible.

The bigger question is has anybody been able to get it to fit. Everybody I've spoken with says that it hits the steering column and is not made to fit US sr swaps, since they copied the JDM design.

the divided outlets don't fit, they do hit the steering column as mentioned. get a normal 3" straight elbow.

its different because its 1 pipe, instead of 2.
tossing this up in a few SSAC threads.
anyone got a phone number for those guys?
i have sent 5-6 e-mails without a single reply...
i want to give them a bunch of my money but apparently they dont want it.
