hey i'm curious, I know people with na's and when the spray its from the launch till the end. can you do the same with turbo? like on an sr for instance? i was thinkn of maybe a 75 shot, i wanna run 10's...so thats my reason.

spray is for pussies, thas the easy way out, take ur sr, be a man and do some engine work, to gain the power u need. ps sorry if i offened anyone by sayin pussy, but i dont like the use of spray, its pointless to me and i dont like it,

using nitrous for 10's would be the pussy way out since you can do that without nitrous. Do you realise how much money its going to cost to be able to run a 10? Even more so to be able to do it more than once and repeatidly? Save the nitrous for when everything else is completly maxed out, thats when you need it

Seriously, unless you live at the track you have no reason to go out and get nitrous. And even if you do live at the track, it's not like you're straight up drag racing. Consistancy means more than speed anyway. A good set of drag radials and launching ability will probably make up as much if not more time than a 75 shot of gas.

look i was just curious, i didn't say i was goin to do it or that i even like it. i wasn't asking if i would be considered a pussy or not. Yes it will cost a lot to run 10's no doubt about that, it cost alot to run 11's and i don't know if my car will do that yet. I ran a 12.9 @ 108 with stock turbo on 17" street tires and also had a full tank of gas if that makes diff. here is my of mods that i plan to have 400whp and run 11's on street tires---- greddy intake man., obx exh man, garret gt2871r .86, jwt s4 cams, greddy fmic, stainless o2 housing, greddy dwn pip, hsk hipower exhs., z32 maf, soon to be enthalpy ecu, dna mbc, kaaz solid hub lsd, apex-i pwr intke, jgy fuel rail w/72lb injectors oh and a cometic head gasket w/arp head studs

You want to run 10's with that setup?? Think big, and if you are saying you are going to do that then redo it later to run 10's your throwing money away. But if you do want to do the set up you have above listed(which would be great for a street/strip car) I recommend going externally wastegated, scott would agree with me here. Get the full race bottom mount exhaust manifold as well. It costs a lot more but is less hassle down the road when you have to take your obx off to get it welded. Everything you have listed on slicks should be good for a high 11, maybe even on pump gas

also, how do i eliminate the internal w/g ??? and where would be the ideal place on the manifold to have the external mounted?

Weld the flapper gate closed. and put the external wastegate where ALL the runners meet.

ok the pussy comment was alil extreme, but look if thas what u wanna do then go and do it, i just think u should get the gain in hp from, blood sweat and tears, w/ addin the nessasary parts to do so, not just go HMM i wanna do 10's in the 1/4 so i will get nitrous (the easy way out). its no fun and u dont learn anything about ur car/motor. i do all the work to my car myself and wouldnt have it any other way, there are so many things/parts that u can add, and do urself and get into the 10's W/0 spray, just need the time and tuning to do so. thas all i ahve to say bout that

easy way, i've done all my work myself, every last bit of it! i've put much blood and sweat into my ride. i am the same way, i don't trust anyone but my self to work on my car. all i wanted to do know is if it hurts the motor to spray at full boost. and what would be a somwhat safe set up.

drft57pro, whats with the flammer shit? and fuk the SR. i refuse to jump on the bandwagon and put that shit in my car, KA-T all the way 256k miles and still runnin strong, custom kit, all done by ME everything on that motor was put together by ME, i never said i had or did anything no one else on this forum could do. i think that to engoy ur car and to be able to respect it, u gotta do all the work that u can ur self and not pay someone to do it.

I dont care if a D1 car uses nitrous, that doesnt make it cool in my book. Sorry for not being a slave to the media whores. But you could have the FullRace bottom mount manifold made with an external gate for it, then you would just weld the flapper shut on your 2871r. The FullRace manifold is not cheap at all. But you want to go fast and do it good, so get it. Making personal attacks on people, all of you who are doing so, is rather stupid. Think about what you are doing/saying and act different. Take the criticisim instead of barking back and looking like an idiot

i usually just run a quick shot of hairspray through my SR. I also make sure to put a potato in the downpipe. Makes for a good show =-)

The ones that i saw at the D1 event at fontana were the yellow ae86 from UPGARAGE and the blue s15 greddy car i think there were more it seems more and more common that they use the nitrous for probably off the line when the start the run... i looked at there FMIC and didn't see any sort of sprayers for the cooler
