View Full Version : 245/40/18 for front and 275/35/18 for the back....

i bought a set of 18x9 wheels and i bought pair of 245/40/18 for the front and 275/35/18 for the back... i wanted to get tires for the front with same offset with back tires... i had no choice cuz i bought used tires...
does it make a lot of difference if i put 40 offset for the front and 35 offset for the back???

uh...that is the profile...and do you know what those sizes mean exactly?

cuz you said offset...


width in mm/profile (percentage of width)/ internal diameter

so the profile changes with the width...like a 205/40/17 will be much shorter then a 255/40/17 but at the same time a 315/40/17 will be taller then a 205/45/17


just cuz it's smaller dosent mean it's shorter

Front overall diameter is 25.716in.
Rear overall diameter is 25.578in.

Those tires are almost the same height, but they are ~ 1.2in. taller than a stock s13 tire.

they're so ridiculously close that they're practically the same size...so yes most definately

Do a burnout when you get them, then you'll be equal.

The height difference between the two is only ~ 3mm, you would never be able to tell the difference.

hm... i got smaller(less diameter) tire for the back and if i burn out, the difference will be more...lol

profile and offset is different...
keep the better quality tire and buy new ones for rear.
call me if you need new tires 11.
