I love Donnie Darko, one of my favorite movies ever. But yeah, fans of cookie cutter mainstream crap will hate it. Havent picked up the directors cut yet. Any requiem fans out there?

I didn't buy it I saw it in a theater when they re- released it. But yeah I think it explained it a lot more. It's worth it, buy it. If you like Donnie Darko then you will like the directors cut to, or well at least you should.

the directors cut actually makes guessing the movie not fun anymore.....things are explained more clearly and some of the music has been changed....

sorta ironic how the directors explains more, but we are rather used to the director leaving it up to our imagination....

its sorta like what if Christopher Nolan came out with a directors cut of Memento and explained everything......still good, but not as fun
