Just how the hell do I go about filing my tax return online??

Go with Turbotax online basic http://www.turbotax.com/index.php?redirect=yes&source=ttcom4misc3 , I was able to get back about $300 more than if I e-filed another way. Plus I got my return in about 10 days via direct deposit.

If you make under 20K a year (I belive that's the rate)...you can do it for free on H&R Block's website. That's what I did...but state tax is $19.95.

I've used www.online-taxes.com for 3 years now. $13.90 for fed and state. They don't do all states though.

If you go to IRS.gov you can find out if there is any site that will allow you to e-file for free. They have a comprehensive listing. I got mine done free last year.. I made too much money this year.. :(
