sohc-dohc swap throttle cable Q?

ok what would it take to make a sohc throttle cable work on the dohc? i looked and look and cant find a j yard around me that has a 240 in it, so i either fork up 100 bills for one from nissan or make the sohc fitt. i was wondering if anyone had done it before and what it takes to do so. i know everyone will say just fork up 100 bucks but i am flat broke and i already had the dohc,harness, and ecu, mafs, and one thing i forgot before they crushed the car was the throttle cable, soo.... if anyone has any experience with this topic please let me know thanx

sohc is considerably shorter. You can't make it fit. You would have to lengthen it, which is nearly impossible with throttle cables. You don't need to fork over the cash for an oem one, there are tons of people parting out dohc cars on here and many other 240 forums all the time.

actually sohc fit just fine. it run across the valve cover to throttle. but i hook the cable to the cruise control cable mount hole thing and u hook instead of the orginal hole. i might b able to give pic tomroro.
