I've updated my site with pics from my trip to Kyushu last month.

It was another memorable trip with lots of fun activities. Watching psycho dogs at the pet store, grubbing at Mos Burger and Meshiyadon, car parts shopping with the always cool PowerdBy007, hanging out at Uras with Nomura Ken, late night GT4 battles, watching Ueo drive at Sekia Hills, messing up my friend's S14 drifting on turn one (oopsie!), watching God of Entertainment and Hata Yoku, hanging out with Koga from Red Ribbon drift team, eating fugu and surviving, and much much more...

Go to http://www.nekopunch.com and click on "Japan Trip 2005".

Enjoy the pics everybody.

--Errin

P.S. I will also upload some video footage from Sekia Hills in a day or so. I'll post an update here when I do.

Thanks guys. I definitely consider myself fortunate to be able to go there from time to time. The only reason I go through the trouble of posting up these pics is so that hopefully they might help encourage a few others to make a trip over there so they can experience it for themselves. :)

Muzzy, I'm just using a regular Canon A70. Not sure if there's an ISO setting. I also tweak the pics in Photoshop if necessary.

what's the deal w/ those matching cars that say "sekia hills" (which i'm assuming is the name of the track)...

they almost look like they're...rentals

which would be just a little too much for me and i'll have to kill america

Well it really depends on where you go, i.e. which city or cities you go to. But in any case, wherever you go just go where the wind takes you and you will definitely come across shops and car stuff.

Hankook is the new sponsor this year for Sekia Hills Circuit. So when people drive in competitions there, they get stickers on their car.

Some drivers use Hankook tires in the rear because they are cheaper and fairly good tires. Same with other non-Japanese brands like Wanli, Kumho, Federal, etc.

Yeah, didn't come across too many S15s this trip. I even saw a Lotus Exige again this time, but couldn't whip out the camera in time.

Don't worry about the language. There are guys who have ~lived~ in Japan for years and can hardly speak Japanese, and I'm not even kidding.

so how do they get by lol? i bet most of those guys out there can pick up a word or 2 in english anyway. i think if i go i would miss my return flight and live in one of those really small appartments and getting a job at a delivery place :)

My girl is going to Japan this summer for three months and my mother is going there sometime soon but they are both leaving me here to suffer in America. The woman in my life soooo evil...
