man i just got into a fued with this girl. I dont know why people perfer the old one to the new one?? The graphics are suxors now, and the controls feel like crap after playing source.... anyone agree with me? or do they perfer teh simplicity of the first one?

yeah i used to play 1.4/5 a while back, and I've gotten into playing source now.. tried going back to 6 and it SUCKS.

Once you play source, you can never go back. I play source about everyday but I have friends that still have 1.6, everyone I go play with them it almost makes me sick. css > 1.6, cpl is source so everyone should move on already

Personally I like the feel and graphics of souce better, but I miss alot of the maps from 1.6 and prior :(

yeah, that's about the biggest thing about Source that sucks.. there's only a handful of nice maps... With 1.x, you had a HUGE selection of maps.

souce is better mostly hackers like 1.6 and 1.5 becuase its the easiest to hack on imo. also the grapics suck and steam 1.5 and 1.6 had some many probs on my comp

Offtopic- woooohooo 1.31 patch released for farcry and some map packs!! im playin the multiplayer, which I feel is alot better then HL2 deathmatch. Its nice to get away from cs sometimes.

The old versions dont even compare to Source. There is NO comparison. None. I wish i had 2 things i could compare. That way there could be a debate. Source owns.

I like Condition Zero over all of them. I find it harder to get headshots in Condition Zero. I still play 1.6 and Condition Zero, but CZ is definately better. I never played source tho.
