wont lock up no matter how hard i jerk the hand brake. i know i need to replace the pads and my rotors need turned. is this the cause of the prob? or is the cable stretched or something?

yea i had trouble locking up the rear with kragen $20 brake pads but they lock up instantly with my Project Mu BFORCE pads. i think thats all it is. get better pads for front and rear. Tsuchiya saids so in the drift bible =)

Are you talking in a straight line?

there is a nut on the rear of the ebrake (you have to take off the center console). Try tightening that, but dont make it to tight or your pads will rub when driving

Yeah, drifting is only
[email protected] JDM tight if your doing it on public roads, preferably around children and old people. That's what is cool in JDM land right now.

Feint and pull harder you pussy. Cheap pads work great in the rear. They take less time to get to good operating temp as well.

Check cable and connections on both ends. A proper working handbrake system should lock no matter what pads you use.

If you are talking about being parked, then your cable is probably too loose. Get a new one.
If you are talking about drifting, then you arent turning in hard enough. You need a lot of inertia to unload those back wheels, and then bam they will lock up. The only time you should use your ebrake to initiate is if you are going in too fast, because it will scrub a lot of speed. Learn how to clutch kick and drive the right speed.
PS a long shot, maybe you are not pushing in the clutch while you are pulling up?
