Normal Guy's Impression of SR20'd S13

Since I'm a bit older (mid-30s) than most of the members of Zilvia many of my friends think I'm slightly insane for my car antics ("Why don't you just buy a BMW?")... Anyhow, I let one of them drive my SR20'd S13 (intake/exhaust/etc @ 12psi). This is an edited transcript of the test drive:

Get in car and start it up
Him: "This car is a total beater."
Me: "Sort of..."
Him: "Wow, it's RWD!" (snow in driveway)
Me: "Fuck Yeah!"

Pull out of driveway, head down the road.
Him: "Wow, the suspension is really stiff! It doesn't feel like a small car."

Winds it out to 4K.
Him: "HOLY SHIT! The tires just broke loose!"
Him: "You can feel it starting to pull HARD at 3K"

Finally get the car to a dry straight-away. He stomps it from a roll.
Him: "OMG, how fast are we going?" (Speedo's not working)
Me: "Faster than 55mph! Probably around 75 or 80."

We proceed up a small hill with good visibility. He downshifts/dumps the clutch on purpose. Car fishtails like crazy.
Me: "Yikes! This isn't a Volkswagen, dude."
Him: "This car is not for beginners. It's *almost* dangerous! This car is... FUCKING CRAZY! I love it!"

Wow he was impressed by a sr with some bolt ons at 12 psi.. Thats kinda sad to be honest.. I mean seriously there are cars that are so much more powerful STOCK...... I wonder if he'll shit his pants in a 1400 hp mustang...

Buddy of mine's mustang.. it is only a 289 cubic inch motor. making 1400 whp with forced induction (Procharger) NO NITRIOUS. Best ET being a 7.8..

Not really too impressive....its got TWICE the number of cylinders,with proble twice the boost if not more.

Yeah but it's not a lot of people have had a chance to drive hi power factory cars or 1400hp mustangs and it's not like 14sec to 13sec is slow it's just not as fast as some other cars. I think its cool that he drove it and loved it I like the comment about not being for beginners now if only all the kids out of hi school would think like that.
