Moving to New Jersey....

so in a year or two I'll be moving to jersey. I'll hopefully be working in NYC while living in NJ. I'm from Boston and I rarely go down the NJ, so I was wondering if there were any members from Jersey that I can answer some questions.

1, How bad is the car insurance? I'm from MA so I'm familiar with high rates, but I've been hearing some horror stories about Jersey. I have a clean record and I've been driving for 8 years.

2, Are there any good roads to just rip it on, any touge-ish roads. And what kind of condition are the roads in general?

3, What kind of events do you have ? as in AutoX and Drift Events

4, What's the 240sx scene like in NJ, I only ask because here in New England all the 240sx owners are members of 240SXONE.com so we're all pretty tight. Just wondering if there was anything like that for NJ.

5, Any advice about moving to Jersey

I was gonna say that i felt bad for you cause your moving to the armpit of america but then i read you lived in boston and i think you should stay there. I dunno if you can tell but i hate boston people. You guys are all a bunch if cocky bitches who are so unloyal.. BTW, im not even from jersey. Worst insurance rates in the nation. Road condition is generally bad if youre use to cruising through streets that aren't congested.

#1 my insurance was.. 6400 for 1 year w/ liability only on 1 car...
that was with 56 insurance points.... before i moved it was 1200 a month for liability only.
#2 there are good roads out there.. u just gotta look for them.. also i suggest just driving out to pennsylvania or upstate ny cause they have the best roads in my opinion.
#3 for auto-x there is englishtown scca , camden scca, and then there is long island scca
tons of them. dgtrials hold their events friday and wed...
#4 importfanatix is not just a 240 club
but it was founded w/ 240 guys
and we are tight. so get there and meet up w/ them

1, Highest Rates in the entire country. If you have ANY points or accidents you're basically fucked.

2, Not sure. There's some cool roads up in Northwestern Jersey.

3, Auto-X, We have NASA at Giants Stadium and SCCA Events at Atco.

5, Don't move here. Its grossly overcrowded, housing prices are through the roof and you'll probly have to sell your 240 to pay your property taxes. Seriously.
